The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supporting the direct management and handling of
all warehousing and distribution functions at the organization's Regina Cannabis warehouse
facility. This includes accountability for inbound and outbound freight, as well as adherence to
legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures and working closely with the
Warehouse Supervisor and company management to manage inventory levels in the warehouse.
The Warehouse Supervisor will accomplish effective logistical oversight through strong leadership
and decision-making skills.
• Assist to manage the handling, distribution, and storage of all inbound and outbound
freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the distribution facility.
• Ensure all sales orders are accurately inspected, entered, packaged and shipped to
customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
• Document and communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the
appropriate parties.
• Maintain strict control over inventory levels as per compliance requirements in order to
meet reporting, internal and external audit accountabilities.
• Plan warehouse organization and space requirements in order to prevent loss or
damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization in collaboration with warehouse
manager.
• Take into account full implications of material flow, inventory turnover rates, and other
factors when allocating warehouse space.
• Develop and/or enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to
maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or
hazardous materials.
• Act as a lead in the absence of warehouse manager.
• Leads all the warehouse staff ensuring operations are performed safely, efficiently and in
a compliant manner as well up to standard.
• Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment.
• Assess the needs of the facility and present for approval with ROI justification as
required.
• Monitor and report all inventory discrepancies and identify the cause, resolution and
prevention. Ensure records are stringent to eliminate all variances. Report to the
Manager of any discrepancies and or issues asap.
• Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments and other matters; make adjustments
where necessary.
• Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
• Support the facility improvements, and services to manage the facility and costs.
• Work as a great team collaborator with the warehouse team and other departments.
• Assist in timely shipping, receiving and organization of product in the warehouse
• Carry out any other warehouse operation related task (s) assigned.
• College Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business preferred, with a focus on
manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, inventory
control, or materials management.
• 4 -5 years of direct work experience in a warehouse management function or supply
chain management position.
• Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation
management.
• Working knowledge of Warehouse compliance is an asset. CannaSell certificate
required.
• Knowledge of SLGA regulations.
• Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems.
• Familiar with enterprise-level track-and-trace systems, as well as implementation
experience.
• Strong knowledge of Sage X3, SCM systems, or any other ERP system as well as
Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is an asset.
• Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills.
• Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions.
• Solid project and facility management skills are essential.
