Number of Positions: 1

Work Locations: Canna Cabana retail stores in Canmore, Alberta

Terms of Employment: Permanent, full-time

Split-Shift Premium:

Hours of Work: Minimum 30 hours per week, worked as a split shift structured around peak business hours (see below). Availability required for evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotation between the Canmore and Banff locations.

Language of Work: English

Position Summary:

Canna Cabana is the flagship retail cannabis brand of High Tide Inc. and operates licensed stores in Canmore and Banff, Alberta. The Retail Shift Supervisor supervises and co-ordinates the activities of sales associates during assigned shifts, ensures compliance with Alberta cannabis retail regulations, and delivers a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The role is performed on a split-shift basis built around the store's busiest periods and requires flexibility across store locations.

Split-Shift Schedule (Peak Hours)

The split shift is deliberately structured around the store's high-traffic periods. Cannabis retail traffic in the Canmore and Banff tourist market concentrates in a busy midday/early-afternoon period and again in a busy late-afternoon/evening period, with a slower lull in between. The Retail Shift Supervisor works a first 4-hour shift covering the earlier peak times, and then works a second 4-hour shift covering the later peak, with both shifts completed within 12 hours of their scheduled start time. This places experienced supervisory coverage on the floor when customer volume, ID verification, and compliance demands are highest. Total scheduled hours are 8 per day and 40 per week (5 days/week).
